Job Purpose:

The Business Development Team leader is responsible for prospecting and generating new sales leads for the New Business Executives. Development of leads for all the Business Solutions products as well as looking after the BD team on a day-to-day basis.

Reporting Line:

New Business Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create quote appointments, targeted at 40 per month, for the New Business Executives, with an income target of roughly £6000 per month depending on salary.
  • Commission will be paid once target is reached.
  • To ensure the targets are met you will require a minimum of one hours talk time per day.
  • Manage own prospects, developing into quality sales appointments and continuously refreshing the data in our CRM systems.
  • Investigate and research prospects updating the data held in our CRM systems, identifying key decision makers and the business profile.
  • Obtain and confirm prospects renewal dates and record or update in the CRM record to ensure the continuous development of the database-targeted at 30 renewal dates per month.
  • Deliver leads for the Business Solutions suite of products:  Recruitment, Risk Management, Energy, Wealth Management and Sales.
  • Manage the BD team day-to-day operations  including sickness, absence, holiday and performance.
  • Report back to NB Manager on performance of the BD team Attend Team meetings and huddles.
  • Ad-hoc project support.
  • Follow TCF principles and applying FCA’s 6 key outcomes to your role.
  • Ensure all statutory and company legislation is followed to protect clients, colleagues and business interest.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Demonstrable ability to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
  • Proven track record of strong client relationships.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
Skills:
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working on own initiative and managing own workload effectively.
  • Able to work co-operatively with New Business and wider QCG team members.
  • Demonstrate resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft office, word, excel and outlook.
