Lauryl Rencontre – Wishes & Events Coordinator, Pollard’s Promises

How long have you been with Quality Care Group?

Lauryl has been with Pollard’s Promises for 18 months and in that time has made a huge impact through her dedication, compassion, and creativity.

What does your job entail?

As our Wishes & Events Coordinator, Lauryl is at the heart of everything we do at Pollard’s Promises. She leads on the planning and delivery of meaningful wishes for carers, care teams and care recipients, creating moments of joy, recognition, and respite for those who give and receive care every day. Alongside this, Lauryl also takes the lead in organising our events, ensuring they bring people together to celebrate, connect and raise awareness. Her compassion and drive mean that every promise delivered makes a lasting difference.

What’s your secret talent no one knows about?

Lauryl is a keen netball player and is in the process of organising a Pollard’s Promises netball team.

In terms of successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?

Lauryl is particularly proud of spearheading the companies’ International Women’s Day campaign, which she executed brilliantly. Her ability to combine creativity with organisation shone through, and the success of the campaign highlighted her passion for celebrating people and making them feel valued.

Who are some of your biggest inspirations within the company?

Lauryl takes inspiration from colleagues across QCG and Pollard’s Promises who share her commitment to supporting the care sector and celebrating those within it. She values being surrounded by individuals who bring passion, kindness, and drive to their work every day.

How have you grown professionally while with Quality Care Group?

During her 18 months with Pollard’s Promises, Lauryl has developed her skills in project management, event coordination, and creative planning, while also building strong relationships with care providers and supporters. She continues to grow her confidence and expertise, making a lasting impact on the lives of carers and care recipients.

Tell me something about you that most people don’t know...

Away from work, Lauryl enjoys planning trips away with friends, walking her dog and planning Christmas from January each year.
