Further volatility has continued due to on-going Norwegian plant maintenance, low LNG, low wind generation and a bullish Carbon Market. Electricity Rates are around 26 to 30 p/kwh and Gas 5.5 to7.5 p/kwh depending on the standing charge at the moment.

With Oil cuts looming in July serious consideration should be made to fix in new rates now if your contract is due for renewal before March, 2024.

Some Quality Care clients are choosing to lock in one fuel now and leaving the other one for us to track over summer to hedge their bets that way.
