There has been some drop off in the market over the last 7 days negating some of the increases in July.

The decreases have occurred when UK demand is lower and when Norwegian flows improve.

We are still seeing fluctuations however. For example today increased minimally due to an unexpected plant outage with a surge in Wind Generation limiting the increase.

Whilst the impact of Norway's maintenance program on their assets for this month and September may not have the same impact to prices as they did in early summer(around the 14th June) due to high European storage levels it may still be the case when demand increases and wind generation is low. We are also starting to see rates creeping up slightly as we are heading towards Autumn /Winter hedging – supplier risk.

It will be interesting to see the impact on market pricing next week when better warmer weather returns from mid-week.
